To ensure future generations of Bharatiyas do not grow up imbibing colonial era race theory which was manufactured to divide Bharatiyas

It appears that NCERT as an institution and many eminent historians themselves were aware of the dangers of ‘cultivation of hate’ in the minds of young school students. Below are excerpts (relevant to Aryan theory) from a document authored by Delhi historians’ group with the title " Communalization of Education - The History textbooks controversy.” In this document, there is acknowledgement of the ‘Aryan race’ theory being already discarded in academic discourse. However, while the Textbooks are propagating a fake narrative about ‘Aryans Invaders,’ ‘indigenous Dravidian races’ as native inhabitants, the Delhi Historians group document presents a false alarm of non-Hindus being called as ‘foreigners.’ based on the Aryan theory.

  • “The CBSE has now taken on a new role of doctoring the contents of prescribed books.
  • Those who are at the policy-making levels of NCERT echo the politicians.”
  • “The ‘race’ theory has long since been discarded and no one in academic discourse speaks of an Aryan race.”
  • There is here a gravely divisive campaign, which has all the potential for exacerbating hostility between the proponents of “Aryan” chauvinism and the ‘Dravidianists’.
  • They will teach that the Hindus are the descendants of the Aryans who were the indigenous inhabitants in India and all the others are foreigners.
  • A Report from the Committee of the Central Advisory Board of Education Ministry of Human Resource Development Government of India, Publication Year 2005, also discusses the issue of ‘cultivation of hate’. (Bold face added for emphasis)
  • “Even supposedly neutral bodies foster hostility at an age when children lack the understanding of political formations to demand evidence or challenge misinformation

No. This issue impacts each and everyone of us. All of us who were taught this ‘race theory’ in schools are impacted by this issue. This issue has even entered the Honourable Parliament of India , as the below episode indicates.

During a debate in the Indian Parliament in the year 2015 the leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha is reported to have stated the following:

" Aap Bahar se aye he. Wo Aryan chitra be he, wo bahar he aye ". (Translation - You came from outside. Aryans came from outside.).

The next day, another parliamentarian and Honourable Union Minister responded by quoting Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s refutations of the Aryan theory. He also posed the question " why are we bringing all those things now and trying to divide people?“
